Assassin’s Creed: Unity Review

assassin's creed: unity

One of the things that make the Assassin’s Creed series one of the best to play comes from the fact that not only does it offer a complete insight into human history, but it also looks great and it definitely amazes you with the attention to details. Assassin’s Creed: Unity is no different, and even with the unfortunate rocky launch, the patches have managed to repair this great masterpiece of a game.

assassin's creed: unityWhat I liked the most about Assassin’s Creed: Unity is definitely the setting. I love France and being able to explore Paris was an amazing to say the least, although I do feel that the possibilities were a little smaller due to the companion app locking chests and other stuff.

Still, the exploration is there and it’s better than ever. The story is nicely designed and going alongside main character Arno Dorian is a complete delight in this regard. You get the original third person view as always but this time you also manage to play in cooperative multiplayer which I consider to be very good. There are plenty of moments in which the game brings you many interesting decisions to make, and in some situations the people you think of as being your friends just aren’t that at all.

The main character, named Arno Dorian, is very good even if he is a little childish at times, he is the perfect person toassassin's creed: unity see truth behind the revolution. Lots of great people like the Marquis de Sade or even Napoleon Bonaparte appear here, something that makes this game have great cultural appeal.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity does bring in some cool stuff! For example, being able to customize character abilities and the plethora of weapons to choose from is really cool. I do feel that the game does an amazing job when it comes to showcasing cool gameplay and it’s really nice to explore the streets of Paris.

So many things can be bought from the merchants that you can easily customize your character in any way you want. From pistols to axes, spears, swords and many others, all of these bring you immense benefits and just make the gameplay as a whole very good.

assassin's creed: unityThe story is cohesive and a lot of fun, although it has its fair share of unnecessary drama especially in the end. Still, even if we can’t go directly into the revolution, it’s nice to see how it developed!

Graphically, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is very good, although it does have a lot of visual bugs. When it does work, the game looks astonishing and exploring the game world is a complete pleasure!

Overall, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is a wonderful game, and even if it has its technical problems, it’s a great game with historical background. It doesn’t really bring that much to the series as a whole, but it’s nice to play and a ton of fun!

7/10
