Scheduled to be released in November of this year on Xbox One and PS4, Final Fantasy XV has gone through more than a decade of development. With that much effort, it definitely sounds like something that will deliver perfection.
Still taking place on the planet of Eos, Final Fantasy XV is taking you on a journey to battle an evil lord who tries to destroy the world. The game features four main characters: Noctis Lucis Caelum – the only playable character in this game, Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia, and Prompto Argentum.
Final Fantasy XV is using the Active Cross Battle System, which means you can explore the environment in the game where you might find enemies or obstacles that you have to tackle. Besides fighting the enemies with your own resources, you can also takeover their tanks or mechs to be used against them. The control is relatively simple, where commands are designated to individual buttons on your controller, but in order to succeed your full attention is required.
Just like any other Final Fantasy game, exploration has always been a major part of the game, but in Final Fantasy XV it becomes even more significant. You and your team of four can explore the environment on foot or by using various vehicles, including riding a chocobo. Noctis can also use his sword to warp to other places, this is a very useful ability if you need to avoid enemies.
Summons and magic are also a big part of the game, as you can see in its trailers, this game features some mind blowing summon and magic animations that will fill the screen with magnificent visual effects.
As stated by Hajime Tabata, the game director, Final Fantasy XV will feature about 100 hours of gameplay. The main story alone will take players on a journey of 40-50 hours, and another 50-60 hours on the side quests and extra content.
